Committed to Safety
Jake-Jay Construction is committed to operating a safe workplace whether on-site, at our pit and quarry locations, or our yard. Here are the ways we make safety a priority:
- Committed adherence to all related WorkSafe BC safety standards and legislative requirements.
- Comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Program.
- Dedicated Health and Safety Officer.
- Preliminary project hazard assessments conducted.
- Daily job-site tailboard meetings conducted each morning to outline potential risks and confirm preventative measures in place.
Safety Training is a Priority
- Safety courses for employees include: WHMIS training, confined space certifications, ground disturbance certifications, and varying levels of Occupational First Aid training.
- All employees are compliant with mandatory PPE compliance.
- All our job sites adhere to strict safety requirements whether working for large private companies or teaming with public sector contractors.
- Jake-Jay Construction has annually renewed our COR certification through the BCCSA.
- We are contributing members of the WorkSafe BC program and remain in good standing.
